Barefoots Orchard is situated in the historic town of Bruton in Somerset opposite the twin towered church and convenient for the railway station and the town.

Bruton is home to Kings School, Bruton School for Girls and Sexeys School.

In the High Street is Sexey's Hospital, an historic Alms House. 

 

From our door there are lovely walks around the town, along the river or up to the National Trust Dovecote. Bruton is also on the Macmillan Way and the Leyland Trail long distance footpaths.

Local attractions include Wincanton Racecourse, Stourhead Gardens, Longleat, Yeovilton, Haynes Motor Museum, Mill-on-the-Brue, Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole and Street Shopping Village.

Wedding venues in the area include The Parish Church opposite, Mill-on-the-Brue, Gants Mill, and Holbrook House

Nearby are Wincanton (famous for Terry Pratchett's Discworld followers), Shaftesbury, Wells, Glastonbury, Yeovil, Salisbury, Bath and Bristol.

Dorchester, Weymouth, Bath and Frome are all easily reached by train from Bruton so leave your car and avoid the parking problems and traffic jams.
